White outs are common, especially with older
sensors. There are numerous ways to fix white outs, each with its
own advantage.
Simplest Technique:
- LAYER ... DUPLICATE
LAYER ... OK

In LAYERS drop down menu ... Normal ... MULTIPLY ...
LAYER ... FLATTEN IMAGE ...

Use the HISTORY TOOL to revert back to the original image in specific
areas
you don't want changed
Tip: Try CLONE TOOL on small sections if viable detail.
