Default Setup - Pre Shoot:

Multi Image Stacking

Stacking in CC 2015.5

 1)  Charge batteries.

 2)  Format memory card.
 3)  Clean sensor (in camera).

 4)  RAW + Fine.

 5)  Aperture Priority or Auto ISO.

 6)  ISO 200 / NA if Auto ISO.
 7)  F8.        

 8)  Check Exposure compensation.

 9)  Check Bracketing.

10)  Press DISP button for Histogram.

   a) Photomatrix

   b) CS2 - 2 layer select Hist Brush

 Open CC ... File ... Scripts ... Load files

     into stack ...

  2)  EXPOSURE:

 

Auto ISO - D850

Highlight Wtd - D850:

Histogram on Live View:

1.    MENU ... SHOOTING MENU ...
2.    ISO SENSITIVITY SETTING ...
3.    Auto ISO Control:  ON
4.    MODE BUTTON ...  "Manual" ...
5.    Dial shutter to 1,000
6.    Dial F stop to F8
        (manual becomes automatic)
7.    When Done:    Auto ISO to OFF
      
      

      

    While pressing MATRIX BUTTON
         (Upper left dial- right side)
 

  Turn top right COMMAND DIAL

Highlight Wtd - Z7: 
    MATRIX Button:
        (Matrix,  Spot,  HIGHLIGHT)
    MODE Button:
       (Aperture Priority or Manual)
       (check if Auto ISO is on or off)

          till histogram pops up.

Auto Exposure (AE) Bracket:

  

2 Layer Selective History Brush

 Z7:      (Use cable release.)

   Aperture Priority. (A) (If on M puts on A)

   Shooting Menu (4) ... Auto  Bracket

   Number of Shots ---> 3 or OF

     (LCD is touch sensitive) 

     (Make sure in continuous high)  

   Return settings to "OF" when done.

          

1)  Blend in Photomatrix.

2) 2 Layer Selective History.

  (Open 2 images on one pane in CS2)

       1 image with proper light area ...

       1 image with proper dark area

    

  - Using MOVE TOOL (upper right),

      (hold SHIFT to superimpose properly)

        Drag one image over the other

  -  Using HISTORY TOOL (right down 4)

       Erase over or under exposed areas.

1.  Select 17-70 lens with 72 mm
2.  Turn off AF and  IS
3.  MODE MUP - self timer (2 sec)
4.  Put on filter
5.  Turn on LIVE VIEW.
6.  Compose ... Focus (use +/- detail)
7.  Use +/-  exposure compensation
8.  Depress shutter release
   
   

 

  5)   SLOW MOTION  > 30 sec: 

 

 

 

     

Slo Mo <30 sec.   (Live View)

Slo Mo >30 sec.

 

1.  Select 17-70 lens with 72 mm
2.  Turn off AF and  IS
3.  Attach cable release
4.  Put on ND filter if necessary
5.  Turn on LIVE VIEW.
6.  Compose ... Focus (use +/- detail)
7.  Use +/-  exposure compensation
8.  Depress cable release
   Close viewfinder shutter.
   ND8 3-stop (+1)  /  ND16 4-stop (+2)
1.  Attach Remote  /  Turn off VR & AF.
2.  Tripod / Compose  / Confirm focus.
3.

 Under "A" Aperture Priority, get settings.

4. Change F-stop / ISO to match a Speed below.
5.    Attach 10X filter.
6.  Left Front top dial to "M" ----> "BULB".
7.  Cover finder to remove stray light.
8.  See chart, make exposure for X min.
